The Assortment Challenge is designed to increase the variety of products available for customers to purchase on Jumia. 

To participate:

  • Upload maximum number of products between now and 30th November.  
  • Winner will be the vendor with the highest sales between 5th-30th Nov for those new products uploaded.

The reward is

1st Prize
Jumia Shopping Voucher worth UGX 500,000 + UGX 100,000 Sponsored product package.
2nd Prize
Jumia Shopping Voucher worth UGX 200,000 + UGX 100,000 Sponsored product package. 

General Prize 
All sellers who have sold at least 20 new SKUs during Black Friday will receive free sponsored product credit worth UGX 100,000

Note that all the products must be new to your shop (not duplicate items) and must be live during the Black Friday period.

In this challenge all you need to do is ship your products within 12 hours of receiving the orders. 

  • The challenge starts from 5th-30th Nov.
  • Not applicable to Items in consignment, only for drop shipping orders

Open CP is a campaign that we run regularly to invite participation of vendors in various promotions that we run. Products that are entered into promotions receive better placement and increased visibility on the Jumia website and app. 

You can access and apply to participate in promotions by logging on to your seller center.

Sponsored Products is a service that helps boost vendor products on top of category pages on the Jumia website and app.

You can apply for Sponsored Products packages by logging on to your seller center and clicking the “Boost Your Products” logo at the top of your screen.

After applying for sponsored products, you can optimize the usage of the service by selecting the best products to sponsor. With the data we gather on which items have the most page views and which sell faster, you can take control of the sponsorship service to increase visibility and drive up your sales


Jumia Express is a service where Jumia keeps your products at our warehouse and fulfill orders for you as soon as they are made. This service is great for fast-moving products because you would not have to make multiple trips to the vendor drop-off station whenever an order is received. We also tag your product with the Jumia Express tag on our website indicating to customers a quick delivery time. Log on to your seller center, go to Products tab and Select Fulfillment by Jumia to apply


Newsfeed is a tool that gives vendors the opportunity to market their products to customers on the Jumia app for free. 

Customers who use the app can click on the Feed tab on the Jumia app to see all the interesting offers and the assortment new arrivals different vendors have to offer. 

There is no limit to how many times a vendor can participate. Simply watch the tutorial on how to participate and send your messages now!

Operational Tips

Avoid Out of Stock

It is very important to ensure your stock is always updated on your seller center to avoid out of stock. A cancellation on your account can have a negative impact on your seller score as well as result in losing potential customers. Below is a short video on how you can update your stock.

Process Orders in time

We have seen overtime that order fulfilled within a day have a lower failed delivery rate. As a vendor you now have two benefits of shipping your orders within 12 hours:

Seller Score

As Jumia is a marketplace customers need to choose among many vendors. Trust is one of the biggest barriers to the growth of eCommerce in Uganda. To guarantee the quality and availability of products from different vendors, customers are shown a seller score to help them make a decision on which vendor to purchase from. A seller score shows how reliable a vendor is.

You can see your Seller Score on the Seller Center homepage.

  • The “Cancellation rate” indicates the reliability of your store. This is the percentage of orders you have cancelled or cancelled by system due to late fulfillment in the last 28 days against the number of all shipment types (Drop-shipping and Jumia Express_if any stocks are at the warehouse)
  • The “Return rate “is the percentage of items that have been returned by customers in the last 28 days and are all vendor fault reasons for the return against the number of delivered orders in the same time period.
  • The Average customer rating is the average stars that have been rated and reviewed by customers for confirmed purchases in the last 28 days on your seller profile on the website
